RealmSpeak is my Java application for playing Avalon Hill's Magic Realm over the internet. My intention for this blog is to provide a central place where I can post updates to the application, and muster the responses I get in a public forum. Check the sidebar for other computer conversions of great board games.

74 Quests and Counting
Just a note to let you know that we have something like 74 mini-quests working within RealmSpeak. These are all quests that Steve (primary quest developer) assembled for me last year, but it's taken me this long to get through them all, and make sure they are working. I'll be throwing them back over the fence to him shortly, so he can make sure I didn't undo anything important, and then a release will be forthcoming.

Hi!
Nice to hear about those quests! :D
BTW: Is there any plan/chance to port the realmspeak to android?
is it doable?
It would be gorgeous to play in our android phones/tablets!
cheers!

hi there,
trying to run your time tripper java app.....wanted to show my son how life was before game consoles !...ok, i admit it..i wanted to play the game....and the runtest.bat is reporting an error - is there any way to contact you for some advice on how to get it running ?
thanks,
ash
Anonymous: you bet. Got to my RealmSpeak contact page, and drop me a line. That way I'll have your e-mail and can respond directly.
One thing I'll suggest right away: take a look at section 2.2 of the RealmSpeak FAQ. I know, you are talking about TimeTripper, but if you are running into a Java error (most likely), the FAQ should help get you through it. If not, let me know!
Neodroid: Man, I'd love to make a Droid version, but it just isn't going to happen. For one thing, I think I'm burning out on this idea. RealmSpeak already does what I wanted (to play this boardgame with my friends back in Oregon). I don't own a tablet (yet), and my Android phone is too small (my opinion) to pull this off, I think.
